Manchester United forward, Cristiano Ronaldo has ‘accepted’ that he will remain a Red Devils player this summer.
The Portugal captain was previously pushing for an exit from Old Trafford, though the signing of former team-mate Casemiro from Real Madrid appears to have caused a U-turn in his decision.
Throughout, Man United have insisted that the five-time Ballon d’Or winner was not for sale and that he remained part of manager Erik ten Hag’s plans and it appears Ronaldo may have admitted defeat.
According to Portuguese football transfer expert, Pedro Almeida, Ronaldo has accepted that he will be a Man United player this season.
Almeida wrote on Twitter on Sunday morning:
“Cristiano accepts to stay in @ManUtd. #Casemiro’s arrival was important for the decision. This is the info!”
