Mariam Aniko, the new Queen of Ooni of Ife, Imperial Majesty Enitan Adeyeye Ogunwusi, has reportedly moved into the palace following the collapse of the King’s marriage to Prophettes Naomi Silekunola.

- Mariam hails from Kogi State, she is of Ebira extraction.
- Although she was from Kogi State, she grew up in Ilorin, Kwara State where her parents were based.
- She lost her father at a very young age.
- She was later moved to the house of the former Inspector General of Police Mohammed Dikko Abubakar where she grew up. Abubakar, popularly called MD Abubakar, was the IGP of the Nigerian Police between 2012 and 2014.
- Mariam’s mother is also a retired police officer
- Mariam is an oil executive; she works with NestOil
- She will be the fourth wife of the King since Ogunwusi was crowned the Ooni. Ooni’s first union was with Adebukola nee Bombata who left the king shortly after the coronation. The king later got married to Olori Wuraola in the marriage which lasted for a few years before he moved on with Queen Naomi. Naomi left the palace last year December.
