Marlian Music street-hop singer and rapper, Mohbad has doubled down on his claims of harassment by the label and founder, Naira Marley as he issues a termination notice, alleging unpaid royalties over three years as well as physical assault.
According to the letter which was issued through Mohbad’s legal representative, Naira Marley had through Marlian Music, failed to pay Mohbad all royalties for music he made throughout his time with the record label in 2019; 3 years. The letter also cited cases of physical assault against Mohbad which had according to them “caused grievous bodily harm” and was a threat to Mohbad’s life.
The notice further demanded a total account of digital sales of Mohbad’s catalogue as well as payment of the monetary value. It also issued the label seven days to hand over the singer‘s catalogue of songs under the label.
Mohbad’s legal representation additionally stated that the notice of termination was effective from the 7th of October.
Recall that Mohbad had recently cried out a second time about his treatment at the label, alleging physical assault with video receipt of injuries he allegedly sustained as a result.
