The presidential candidate of the All Progressive Congress (APC), Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu has said his opponents in next year’s general election have no integrity.
APC presidential candidate made this known on Tuesday in Calabar, Cross River State, during a town hall meeting with stakeholders of the APC.
Tinubu, a former Lagos State governor, told attendees at the town hall meeting that he has all it takes to win and rule the country.
He said: “They have no past; they have no experience, no track record, no integrity, so all they do is resort to insults and abuses. My concern is the development of Nigeria, and that is what I will do as President.
“It is our fault in this country that these past 60 years we have not made progress, but moving Nigeria forward is a task that must be done.”
Naija News reports that Tinubu is up against Atiku Abubakar of the Peoples Democratic Party, Peter Obi of the Labour Party, and Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso of the New Nigeria Peoples Party in the 2023 general election.
2023: APC Loses Members To PDP In Lagos
The Lagos State chapter of the All Progressives Congress (APC), on Tuesday, lost hundreds of its members to the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).
The defectors from Epe Local Government Area of Lagos State also declared their support for the PDP governorship candidate in the state, Olajide Adediran, popularly known as Jandor, and his running mate, Olufunke Akindele.
They also endorsed the presidential candidate of the main opposition party, Atiku Abubakar and his running mate, Ifeanyi Okowa.
Giving reason for their defection from APC, the defectors said the unending deceit and deception in APC which has caused harm to their political career is also dangerous to Nigeria’s democratic system.
The Deputy Chairman of the party, Tai Benedict, while welcoming the defectors commended them for their courage to quit APC and join PDP to save the state from 23 years of neglect and bad governance.
