Nigerian comedian, Emmanuel Iwueke aka Craze Clown has revealed that late Ghanaian football star, Christian Atsu has supported him for a long time.
The skit-maker shared this information while mourning the 31-year-old midfielder who died due to the recent Turkey-Syria earthquake.
Christian Atsu was caught up in a 7.8-magnitude quake that rocked on February 6, killing more than 43,000 people in Syria and Turkey.
Taking to the microblogging platform, Twitter, Craze Clown said the former Newcastle player reached out to him in 2015 when his dad passed away and he paid his school fees till he graduated.
The content creator who has a medical degree expressed that he could not hold back the tears he felt after losing a great friend.
He posted an old conversation with Atsu in which he promised to take care of his tuition till he completes his degree and expressed optimism that the comedian will get a job after.
Craze clown wrote;
“Christian has been supporting me from way back 2015. When I lost my dad, he l reached out and offered to pay my fees till i graduated and he didyou’ve been a great friend of mine Chris and I will surely miss youI really can’t hold back the tearsRest well brother.”
