Super Eagles of Nigeria retained its position in the latest FIFA ranking which was released by the body governing football in the world.
FIFA released the latest ranking on its official website on Thursday, October 26, 2023. The Super Eagles remained in the 40th position in the world and sixth position on the African continent.
The top five teams in Africa, Morocco (13), Senegal (20), Tunisia (32), Algeria (33), and Egypt (35) also retained their positions. Nigeria’s opponents in the Africa Cup of Nations, Ivory Coast, Guinea Bissau and Equatorial Guinea were ranked 52nd, 91st and 110th respectively.
World champions Argentina remained the best nation in the world, while, France, Brazil, England and Belgium completed the top five. Portugal moved two places to sixth, Netherlands, Spain, Italy and Croatia complete the top ten countries.
