Timi Dakolo has announced a new date for the release of his latest album ‘The Chorus Leader’.
Nigerian singer and songwriter had initially promised that his new album would be out on his birthday (20th January) however an official release date has been announced as 26th January 2024. The songwriter took to social media to apologize for the delay by saying, “Dear yard: I am so sorry. The new date for the Album. 26/01/24. I really wanted it to be out on my birthday but for circumstances beyond my control, the date has to change. Please forgive me. The Chorus Leader is an amazing album. I promise you, it’s worth the wait”.
‘The Chorus Leader’ is a 17-track album that features multitalented artists like Patoranking, Falz, Phyno, Cobhams Asuquo and many others. The talented artist has promised an exceptional musical experience with the new album. The award-winning singer released his latest single, ‘Men of the South’ahead of his highly anticipated third studio album, ‘The Chorus Leader’.
During an interview with Business Day Newspaper for his inaugural concert titled ‘The Chorus Leader Live: All the things I didn’t say” the renowned singer discussed his values and revealed his criteria for declining certain shows.
He said, “There have been occasions where I declined offers that didn’t align with my values. I’ve declined to perform in shows that require certain attire or presentations that do not reflect my identity as an artist; I don’t want dancers not wearing full clothes’ as I want distractions on stage. My aim has always been to create an environment where my audience can focus solely on the music and the messages I convey”
