Idris Okuneye, popularly known as Bobrisky, has been released from Kirikiri Correctional Centre. The Nigerian crossdresser was on April 12, 2024, sentenced to six months imprisonment for abusing the naira.

Looking robust and stylish with his makeup and wig, he danced in the G-Wagon his friends brought to receive him today Monday, August 5th.

Recall that Bobrisky was sentenced to six months imprisonment on April 12, 2024, without the option of fine by Justice Abimbola Awogboro.

In a video on X on Monday, Bobrisky, spotted with actress, Eniola Ajao, shared excitement on return.

“I’ve missed you guys so much. I can’t wait to have you guys and give you guys what you have missed,” Bobrisky said.

Bobrisky’s legal troubles began after being charged by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC). The EFCC had invited the 31-year-old in response to a video that surfaced online showing her spray-painting and flaunting wads of brand-new naira notes at the March 24, 2024, premiere of the film “Ajakaju” at Film One Circle Mall in Lekki, Lagos. The film was produced by Nollywood actress and producer, Eniola Ajao.

The EFCC’s investigation also revealed that Bobrisky had committed similar offences at other event centres and parties on different occasions. Following the EFCC’s invitation, Bobrisky arrived at the Lagos Zonal Command of the EFCC on the morning of Wednesday, April 4, 2024, for interrogation and voluntarily provided statements.
