Igue Festival: Binidodogha sends goodwill message to Benin Monarch

HRH Henry Binidodogha, the Ovuru the first of Ofunama land in Ovia South West Local Government Area of Edo State, has sent a goodwill message to the Oba of Benin, HRM Omo N’Oba N’Edo, Uku Akpolokpolo, Oba Ewuare 11, on the occasion of the celebration of this year’s edition of the annual Igue Festival.

In the message, Binidodogha exhalted the Benin monarch for his reign on the throne of his forebears which he averred has brought to the Benin Kingdom loads of positive happenings.

According to Binidodogha, “Your Royal Majesty, Omo N’Oba N’Edo, Uku Akpolokpolo, Oba Ewuare 11, N’Ogidigan, your fatherly disposition to all and sundry is worthy of mention. By your deeds you have shown that you’re a blessing to humanity.

“We pray that you will have a long reign which will no doubt be recorded in history as fruitful years for mankind. Your ascendancy of the royal stool has also marked a period of peace and tranquility in the whole of Edo State.”

Going further, Binidodogha stressed: ” this season(Igue Festival) is one whereby the generality of indigenes and residents of Benin land should endeavour to reflect on doing all that’s necessary to maintain the peace and tranquility that the Omo N’Oba’s reign has brought forth to the land.”
