The Flag Football Showtime Summer Series, played under the sanction of the Nigeria Flag Football Federation, reached its fifth week of competition with four exciting matchups at the Showtime Arena, Lekki.
Lagos Alpha Flag Football recorded their first win of the season with a 31–21 victory over Off-Szn Athletic. Despite the breakthrough performance, the result did not affect the standings, with both teams retaining their previous positions.
In the second game of the day, Greenbacks Flag Football delivered a strong statement with a 20–0 shutout win over Lagos Raptors. The clean sheet highlights Greenbacks’ growing defensive strength, though the outcome also left the standings unchanged.
The most anticipated clash of the weekend saw the league leaders, Lagos Athletic Knights, maintain their unbeaten run with a 35–25 win over Ikan Sports. The Knights remain at the top of the table with a perfect 5–0 record, while Ikan Sports stay in third place.
Rounding off the day, Warriors Flag Football continued their impressive campaign with a dominant 38–12 win over Panthers Sports. The Warriors, who remain in second place, showcased one of their most complete performances of the season.
Despite the competitive nature of the fixtures, Gameday 5 concluded with no changes to team standings, as each side held firm in their respective positions after five games.
