Real Madrid on Sunday won the first El Clásico of the season, beating Barcelona 2-1 at the Bernabéu.
Los Blancos came into the game with revenge on their minds, having lost all their fixtures against their arch-rivals last season.
Kylian Mbappé gave Madrid the lead with a fierce drive from distance.
But Fermín López continued his red-hot form in front of goal to make it 1-1.
The winning goal came just before the break, as Jude Bellingham ghosted in at the back post to tap into an empty net.
Barcelona were then reduced to 10 men after Pedri caught Camavinga moments earlier and then lunged in on Tchouaméni.
This result takes Madrid up to 27 points after 10 matches, five more than Barcelona, who occupy second spot.
