Following Friday’s court order stopping its planned national convention scheduled for Ibadan, Oyo State on November 15 and 16, the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) held an emergency meeting on Saturday and suspended some top officials.
The National Working Committee (NWC) of the party suspended the National Legal Adviser, Kamaldeen Ajibade; National Secretary, Samuel Anyanwu; Deputy Legal Adviser, Okechukwu Osuoha and National Organising Secretary, Umaru Bature, for one month following the court ruling.
Disclosing this in Abuja after its meeting, PDP National Publicity Secretary, Debo Ologunagba, said the decision followed the emergency NWC meeting at the party’s office, Legacy House, Maitama, Abuja.
