Turkish Super Lig dominance continues
It was a cagey encounter early on, but Galatasaray finally broke the deadlock on the stroke of half-time through Sacha Boey.
Lucas Torreira teed up Boey, who fired home from close range into the bottom-left corner, giving the goalkeeper no chance as the hosts carried a slender lead into the break
Alanyaspor responded swiftly after the restart. Just four minutes into the second half, Florent Hadergjonaj delivered a pinpoint cross that Steve Mounie powered into the bottom-right corner with a close-range header to level the score.
Galatasaray regained control nine minutes later. Lucas Torreira found himself one-on-one with the goalkeeper after latching onto a loose ball that fell kindly following Osimhen’s attempted bicycle kick.
Torreira calmly slotted his effort down the middle to restore the lead.
With seven minutes remaining, Osimhen capped his performance in style. Capitalising on a costly error from Paulo Victor, the Nigerian forward seized on the loose ball and calmly finished to secure the victory.
The league leaders now sit on 58 points from 24 matches, underlining their title credentials.
