The FA Cup quarter-final draw was conducted on Monday as Liverpool face Manchester City at the Etihad Stadium in the pick of Monday night’s last eight draw. It promises to be a crunch encounter.
Arsenal and Chelsea are the two Premier League clubs who will play English Football League opponents, with the Gunners going to Southampton and the Blues hosting Port Vale.
The other all-Premier League tie will see Leeds United visit either Brentford or West Ham United, who play on Monday night. The draw took place at the London Stadium as build-up to the only fifth-round tie still to be played, which completes the weekend’s round of fixtures.
The FA Cup quarter-final ties will be over the weekend of Saturday April 4 after this month’s international break. Organisers will announce the exact dates and kick-off times in due course after the competition’s television broadcasters, the BBC and TNT Sports, make their television selections.
Both semi-finals at Wembley Stadium will be three weeks later on the weekend of Saturday April 25.
This year’s final is on Saturday May 16, which falls on the penultimate weekend of the Premier League season.
