2023 presidency: Tinubu submits form to beat INEC deadline

The APC Presidential candidate, Asiwaju Bola Tinubu, has submitted his nomination forms, which include the name of his running mate to the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC).

But the former governor of Lagos State did not disclose the name of his running mate which many people have been waiting for.

There have been speculations that Tinubu will run on a Muslim-Muslim ticket and those in the Christendom have been kicking against Muslim-Muslim and Christian-Christian ticket.

The APC National leader submitted his nomination forms and that of his running mate to INEC on Wednesday, June 15, two days to the deadline.

The deadline stipulated by INEC ends today (July 17) by 12 midnight, after which the commission will lock the portal.

A statement issued on Friday from the Tinubu Media Office by Tunde Rahman said “as stipulated by the electoral law and INEC guidelines and timetable, the standard bearer of the All Progressives Congress, Asíwájú Bola Tinubu, has returned his duly completed nomination forms to INEC.

“The forms were returned on Wednesday June 15, two days ahead of schedule.

 

 

“We wish to reiterate that Asíwájú Tinubu stands ready to contest the February 25, 2023 presidential election to deliver progressive good governance to our people.”
