Lagos State Govt Seals Bars Over Noise Pollution

Operatives of the Lagos State Environmental Protection Agency have sealed two establishments, Wine Library and Buzz Bar, in the Victoria Island area of the state, over noise pollution and environmental violations.

The agency disclosed this in a statement on Monday evening, October 30, 2023.

According to LASEPA, the action was ordered by the Lagos State Commissioner, Ministry of the Environment and Water Resources, Tokunbo Wahab.

“In a determined effort to combat noise pollution and address environmental violations, LASEPA has taken decisive action,” the statement read.

“We hereby announce the sealing off of two establishments, Wine Library and Buzz Bar, both situated in Victoria Island, Lagos.

“This directive was issued by the Honorable Commissioner for Environment and Water Resources.”
