The manager of Napoli, Rudi Garcia, has shared his opinion about the current situation that involves Victor Osimhen and the club.
He said the team was frustrated with the result against Bologna but has spoken to the forward player and believes that Victor Osimhen is focused on helping the club achieve success this season. The Nigerian silenced his critics by scoring the second goal in the 4-1 victory over Udinese on Wednesday, September 27, 2023.
“We were frustrated after the draw vs Bologna, then some awkward things on social media didn’t help us in the last two days. I spoke to Victor, it’s key to have him focused on the game he’s gonna do his best for Napoli.”
Napoli posted a video on its official Tiktok account mocking Osimhen for missing a penalty in the Serie A game against Bologna. He was substituted in the game by the manager and this decision made Osimhen very furious but he had since then apologized to everyone ( teammates, manager).
