Omoyele Sowore, the presidential candidate of the African Action Congress in the 2019 and 2023 elections, has been released minutes after his arrest.
Sowore was arrested on Sunday morning at Murtala Muhammad International Airport in Ikeja, Lagos State shortly after he landed in the country.
The “Revolution Now, convener had revealed the arrest in a post he shared on X.
About 20 minutes later he shared another post that he had been set free .
He wrote;
“I have just been released by the Nigerian Immigration after a brief detention and my passport released back to me. #RevolutionNow.”
