Labour Party has released its timetable for the 2027 primaries, and fixed its presidential nomination and expression of interest fees at N50 million.

Also, aspirants wishing to contest governorship election on the platform of the party will part with N25 million.

Senatorial and House of Representatives nomination fees are put at N10 million and N5 million respectively, while House of Assembly is N3 million.

Labour Party in a statement on Sunday by the National Publicity Secretary Ken Asogwa, said the National Working Committee (NWC) has waved the fees for the party’s only governor, Dr. Alex Otti, if he decides to seek reelection.

The party also granted some concessions to female aspirants, People Living with Disabilities (PLWD) and youth between the ages of 25 and 30 years.

This, it said, is in line with the Labour Party motto, which is Equal Opportunity and Social Justice.

This categories of aspirants will only pay for the expression of interest form.

The party has fixed its presidential and National Assembly primaries for May 29 while governorship and House of Assembly primaries will hold on May 27.

It called on prospective aspirants for the 2027 elections who are yet to register with the party to take advantage of the ongoing membership e-registration and register before the midnight of Monday, May 4, 2026, ahead of the compilation and submission of the party’s membership register to the Independent National Electoral Commission in compliance with the Electoral Act, 2026.
