One dead, 14 rescued in Lagos building collapse

One person has been confirmed dead and 14 others rescued in the building collapse that occurred in the Ojodu—Berger area of Lagos State.

The collapsed three-storey building is at 10 Oremeta Street, Ojodu, Lagos.

The Coordinator, Lagos Territorial Officer, National Emergency Management Agency, NEMA, Mr. Ibrahim Farinloye, made this known on Saturday in a statement he issued.

He said the distress alerts about the building came at 0832hrs.

While stating that search and rescue operation was still ongoing, he said the cause of the incident was not known as at the time of filing this report.
