Phyno gave the internet a pleasant surprise with the announcement of the birth of his first child.
Famous Nigerian rapper, Phyno announced that he and his partner welcomed the birth of their first child.
Phyno is most popularly known for its unique afro-rap style. He melds traditional Igbo with English in his songs, and his mastery of this has endeared Nigerians from all over the country to him.
Born Chibuzo Nelson Azubuike, Phyno is a multitalented musician combining, singing, rapping, songwriting, and record-producing skills. He has been a prominent face on the Nigerian music scene since the release of his debut album, No Guts No Glory. The album has a host of hits, most notable being ‘Ghost Mode’ which he collaborated on with fellow music veteran Olamide.
In his illustrious career, Phyno has worked with Nigerian favourites such as Wizkid, Davido, Olamide, Timaya, Flavour, Ruggedman, Mr. Raw, and many more. He also appeared on the 2013 Hennessy Artistry Club Tour as a supporting act. He has four studio awards and five Headies awards under his belt.
However, since the release of his last album in 2021, Phyno has seemed to disappear from the public eye. So with the announcement of the birth of his first child, his fans were elated. This joy increased even more when he also mentioned that he had been working on new music privately.
Phyno’s announcement caption on Instagram implied that he was working on his fifth studio album. He will be delighting the ears of fans nationwide with new music that will be dropping this Friday, September 1st.
His Instagram caption read: ‘I took some time off to be a Father and also work on new music / Album and it’s been a wholesome experience. Now it’s time to get back to what I do best. NEW MUSIC OUT THIS FRIDAY. PRE-SAVE LINK IN MY BIO.’
It should be noted that, though he is very popular, Phnyo leads a very private personal life. As a result of his privacy, we do not know who the mother of his child is at this time.
