Speaking on resumption of duty, Comptroller Kolade promised to build on and improve the achievements of his predecessors.

The News Agency of Nigeria reports that Kolade succeeded Timi Bomodi, who was recently appointed an Assistant Comptroller General of Customs.

He expressed confidence in fulfilling the responsibilities entrusted to him by the management of the NCS, having served in various enforcement roles.

Kolade reiterated his commitment to leverage his extensive experience to navigate the complexities of the frontier command, noting his previous work at the Seme command.

The new Controller solicited the support and cooperation of officers and staff of the command, assuring them that everyone would be included in the process.

He urged officers to work as a team for the overall benefit of the country.

Bomodi described Kolade’s deployment as strategic and expressed optimism that the command would excel despite challenges.

The Seme spokesman noted that the new Comptroller is a seasoned customs officer with extensive experience, having served in various capacities across several customs formations.

“He has attended courses as a customs representative both within and outside the country.

“He is a recipient of numerous awards in recognition of his outstanding achievements, including the commendation letter for exceptional performance in anti-smuggling operations from former CGC, Col. Hameed Ibrahim Ali (Rtd) in 2017.

“At that time, he was serving as the Coordinator of the CGC Strike Force Team Zone ‘C’, covering South-South and South-East states.”
